Why be a member?

The Greater Yarmouth Tourist Authority is a unique partnership - it brings together ALL partners from both the public and private sector to ensure that we can collectively provide a better resort to help businesses survive and flourish and to ensure that jobs are created and sustained. The Tourist Authority is a private limited company which is mainly funded by tourism related businesses through collection of annual subscription within the borough.

General Meetings
Annual General Meetings
Working Group meetings such as ‘Quality First’, Guest Accommodation, Marketing, Hemsby and Newport Traders
Annual Study Visits to other resorts

There can be no ONE idea for how to increase the borough’s tourism revenue however over many years the GYTA has honed in on projects that are both effective and affordable. That is not to say we have all the answers so we always welcome your input at our meetings.

The Greater Yarmouth Tourist Authority was launched in June 1994 and became a Company Limited by guarantee in August 1995.

The GYTA is a private/public partnership organisation between tourism businesses within the Greater Yarmouth area, Great Yarmouth Borough Council and Norfolk County Council.
